The Ministry of Economy, led by Luis Caputo, has announced that it managed to renew 75% of the debt maturities in the latest auction. This action allowed the extensions of maturities totaling 15.2 trillion pesos, according to the Treasury.
This progress in debt renewal represents an important step for the financial management of the country, especially in a context where proper handling of obligations is crucial to maintaining economic stability. In this operation, the Finance Secretary reported that 6.597 trillion pesos were awarded, with total bids reaching 7.976 trillion.
Despite the efforts, the swap operation had only a 19.5% participation, with an equivalent awarded effective value of 1.178 trillion pesos. During January, the Treasury managed to renew 96% of the obligations due in that month, showing a good financial management strategy in a challenging environment.
The Government's ability to raise funds in an uncertain scenario reflects its commitment to maintain investor confidence and ensure long-term fiscal sustainability. These actions are crucial to guarantee the economic and financial stability of the country amid constant challenges.
